Does like truly attract like?

Often times, I've come across men who claim they are looking for a sista who is beautiful internally and externally, doing positive things, successful, spirit-filled, saved, and know what she wants in life. I'm sure some sisters can say the same. So it all starts off great! You're excited about what you think is sent by God to be your "Knight in Shining Armor" or your " Lady in Waiting" ... All to find out that in the end...this is NOT "the one". I've lost count at how many times I meet guys who looks like the real thing, talks like the real thing, acts like the real thing, says he's the real thing, and actually he turns out to be "the decoy". While I'm navigating through this season of singleness, as a woman of God; I've learned that it's impossible to not seek God for answers to situations like this and not examine myself internally to find out why I'm attracting this type of decoy. We've heard it time and time again that like attract like. What I want to know is what type of like attracts "the decoy"  instead of "the one"?
